Technical Support Area -- Eudora E-Mail Configuration

Setting up Eudora for the First Time

  1. Start Eudora.

  2. In the "Settings" screen, category "Getting Started", enter your e-mail username@pop3.icubed.com for "POP account". (i.e. If your E-mail username where jsmith, enter jsmith@pop3.icubed.com) You may also enter your real name in the "Real Name" field.

  3. Click on the category "Personal Information". Note that the "POP account" and "Real Name" will already be filled in. Enter "your e-mail username@icubed.com for the "Return Address".

  4. Click on the category "Hosts". Enter smtp.icubed.com for "SMTP" and infobahn.icubed.com for both "Ph" and "Finger".

  5. You may now want to go through the other categories to set such parameters as how often to check for new mail, how to send mail, how to encode attachments, etc. (If you're a novice I suggest skipping this step).

  6. Click on the "OK button to save your changes.

Reconfiguring Eudora (If you were using another provider)

  • Start Eudora.

  • Select "Tools" from the "Options" menu (version 3.0 and later) or "Settings" from the "Special" menu (all prior versions).

  • In the "Settings" screen, category "Getting Started", enter your e-mail username@pop3.icubed.com for "POP account". (i.e. If your E-mail username where jsmith, enter jsmith@pop3.icubed.com) You may also enter your real name in the "Real Name" field.

  • Click on the category "Personal Information". Note that the "POP account" and "Real Name" will already be filled in. Enter "your e-mail username@icubed.com for the "Return Address".
