The instructions below will show how to configure your computer to
connect to Infobahn International, Inc. using Windows XP. This document
has the following sections:

Setting up your Dial-up Connection and Mailbox using the Network Connection Wizard
This document will lead you through the process of setting up a dial-up connection for use with Infobahn International. We will use the New Connection Wizard to configure your settings. Herešs what to do:
Open the Control Panel (Start menu, Control Panel)
Open the Network and Internet Connections control panel.
Click on "Set up or change your Internet connection". This will bring up the Internet Properties window, with the Connections tab active.
Click on the Setup button.
Click on the Next button when the New Connection Wizard screen pops up.
Click on "Connect to the Internet" if it is not already selected. Click on the Next button.
Click on "Set set up my connection manually". Click on the Next button.
Click on "Connect using a dial-up modem" and then on the Next button.
Enter "Infobahn" for the ISP name. Click on the Next button.
Enter the phone number (with area code) that would be a local call for you (Please check the list of numbers). Click on the Next button.
Enter your dial-up username in the "User name" area (not that this must be exactly as given to you, as case matters in our system). Enter your dial-up password in both the "Password" and "Confirm Password" areas. Click on the Next button. <

Click on "Add a shortcut to this Connection to my desktop" and then click on Finish. This will take you back to the "Network and Internet Connections" control panel.
Click on "Internet Options".
Click on the Connections tab. You should see a Connection named Infobahn. Click on this and then on the Settings button.
Click on the Properties button.
Click on the Networking tab.
Click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then on the Properties button.
Click on "Use the following DNS server addresses". Enter:
Primary DNS server:
208.0.145.7
Alternate DNS server:
208.0.145.2
Click on the OK button. This will take you back to the Infobahn Properties screen.
Click on OK again. This will take you back to the Infobahn Settings screen.
Click on OK a third time. This will take you back to the Internet Properties screen.
Click on OK one last time to get back to the "Network and Internet Connections" screen.
If you select Infobahn from the Connect To choice in the Start menu, your computer should dial into our system. Once the computer has connected you can start Internet Explorer.
Setting up Outlook Express to read mail
Start Outlook Express.
If this is the first time you have used Outlook Express, it will pop up the Internet Connection Wizard. (If not, select Accounts from the Tools menu. Click on the Add button in the screen that appears, then select Mail from the pop-up menu.)
Enter your name for the "Display Name" and then click on the Next button.
Enter your e-mail address and then click Next.
Make sure that "My incoming mail server is a" POP3 server. Enter the following server names:
Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:
pop3.icubed.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:
smtp.icubed.com
Click on the Next button.
Enter your e-mail username (exactly as given to you) in the "Account Name" area. Enter you e-mail password in the "Password" area. Remove the check next to "Remember password" if you do not want the password saved (i.e. you need to enter the p
assword each time you start Outlook Express). Click on the Next button.
Click on the Finish button.
Turning Off Call Waiting
Open the Control Panel (Click on the Start button, then
click on Control Panel)
Open the Printers and Other Hardware control panel.
Click on" Phone and Modem Options".
Click on the Dialing Rules tab (if this is not already active).
Click on MyLocation and then on the Edit button.
Click on the General tab (if this is not the active tab).
Make sure that "To disable call waiting, dial" is checked. The select *70, from the drop-down list (if you have a touch-tone phone. If you have a pulse phone select 1170,)
Click on the Apply button and then the OK button.
Click on the Apply button and then the OK button again.
Activating on 10-Digit Dialing
Open the Control Panel (Click on the Start button, then
click on Control Panel)
Open the Printers and Other Hardware control panel.
Click on" Phone and Modem Options".
Click on the Dialing Rules tab
Click on MyLocation and then on the Edit button
Click on the Area Code Rules tab
Click on the New button
Enter the area code of the access number you will be
calling. Check "Include the area code" and then click on the OK
button.
