Gawin Morrow was born 26 Jan 1729. In 1761, he married Margaret Murphy. Gawin died on 28 Jan 1805 and his will is filed in Franklin Co, PA - Will Book B, pg 252. Margaret died on 07 Oct 1804 at age 71 years and 6 months. Gawin (also seen as Gavin, Goyen, Gaun and other spelling variations) and his wife attended Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, near Shippensburg, PA.

- Jean, born 19 Oct 1762. She married James Henderson on 08 Jun 1784. They had one child, Jean who was born on 26 Mar 1785. The mother, Jean died on 04 Apr 1785. Both Jeans are also referred to as Jane.
- Elizabeth was born 13 Jan 1765 and married Greer McIlvaine (1757-1845) on 08 Mar 1785. The couple moved to Somerset Township, Washington Co, PA not long after they were married. There they had originally owned 407 acres patented on 11 Jan 1798 and in 1845 adjoining the lands of William Hill, David McDonough, David Riddle and William Padon. Elizabeth and Greer raised a large family - 16 children, although not all of them lived to adulthood. They were: Margaret b. 18 Jan 1786, married name Dennison and in 1845 a widow living in Mercer Co PA; John b. 02 Apr 1787; Mary aka Polly b. 07 Oct 1788 and as of 1845 the wife of John Greenlee living in Green Co PA; Jane** aka Jean b. 09 Jul 1790, married first cousin George McIlvain(e) (1793-1872) of Washington Co PA; Gawin b. 18 Dec 1791; twins, Greer & Elizabeth b. Oct 1793; Catherine aka Betty b. 02 Nov 1795, married Samuel Smith of Washington Co PA; Ruth b. 24 Jul 1797, married to Joseph Morton and in 1845 living in Brook Co VA; Esther b. 17 Jun 1799; William Morrow b. 03 Sep 1800 d. 07 Mar 1801; Ann b. 07 Jan 1802; George b. 09 Jul 1803; William b. 30 Oct 1805; Andrew b. 30 Oct 1807; and Eleanor b. 07 Sep 1811. The father, Greer died without a will and there is a petition to settled his estate filed by his son, John in Nov of 1845 at the Washington Co PA Orphans Docket, Volume F, pg 64. Elizabeth died on 02 Dec 1841. She and Greer were members of Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church and are both buried there. Of special note is that this Greer McIlvaine (1757 - 1845) is most probably the one mentioned as executor in the will of Charles Morrow of Somerset Township, Washington Co PA.
- William, the only son of Gawin Morrow, was born on 26 Jan 1767. William served in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 and obtained the rank of Colonel. He was married on 30 Jan 1812 by Rev. Moody of Middle Springs Presbyterian Church to Mary Boyd of Rocky Springs. Mary was born on 11 Nov 1780 and died on 05 Jan 1855. William and Mary are both buried at the Middle Springs Presbyterian Cemetery which is near Shippensburg PA. William died 01 Jun 1843 and his will is filed in Franklin Co, PA - Will Book E, pg. 37. Children of William and Mary are: Margaret b. 10 Nov 1812; Agness Boyd b. 03 Apr 1814; Mary b. 04 Apr 1815; Jane McCune b. 20 Sep 1816; William b. 05 Dec 1817; Elizabeth McIlvaine b 13 Mar 1819; James Boyd b. 14 Sep 1820; John Boyd b. 24 Feb 1822; and, Bathsheba McIlvaine b. 11 Dec 182(?).
- Margaret was born on 28 May 1769 and married John Bratton on 01 Jul 1790. They had the following children: George Morrow b. 23 Oct 1791; William b. 13 May 1793; Margaret b. 05 Jan 1797; John b. 06 Jun 1799; Mary Ann b. 16 Jul 1800; Elizabeth b. 16 Oct 1803; Jane b. 23 Sep 1807; unknown b. 04 Feb 1809; and Martha b. 03 Apr 1811 and married on 04 Nov 1830 to John Sheffer, a hatter of Mercersburg PA.
- Katrine, a daughter born on 25 Apr 1772.
