You know im sick and tired of all these idiots completely trashing and ridiculing the backstreet boys just
because of the stereotypical labels that are associated with them by people that are jealous, ignorant or
just flat out biased. Let me set the record straight, i am not gay, i am not a teen bop (im 22) and i do listen
to music other than pop (I love Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Beatles, John Fogerty
and BB King). But i've had enough with all these unjustifiable reactions like my friends calling them
"fairies who sell records cause they are pretty boys" or reading reviews that completely trash them and
their music. Give them a break. Brian and Aj can belt out songs just as good or better than any rock,
country, blues, punk (oh wait they dont sing), rap (my bad again), R&b and even mariachi singers. More
than half of these artists hardly write their own material, and the backstreet boys wrote and even
produced some of the material on Millenium. You know it takes real talent to sing. They won't be selling 10
million copies of their albums because of they're looks. If that were the case Tom Cruise or even Fabio
would have a triple platinum "pop" album by now. Right? You know if i wanted to i could be in a punk band
and even a metal band right now. You now why? because it doesnt take much talent to scream and play
power chords on the guitar. You know it all comes down to immature behavior. Either your jealous,
ignorant or flat out biased. Im sure that a lot of guys out there are jealous because they dont get the
chicks like nick does or cant sing like brian does. And even more so most guys and in general people just
are fed up with "pop" music. Ok fine. I don't like Baseball, Offspring or Vietnamese food. But you will
never find me blurting my nalga off about how baseball sucks and how offspring is a dime a dozen band.
Why do magazines and newspapers even have biased reviewers do reviews on bands and groups that are
out of their listening genre? That is like the Pope reviewing a Cypress Hill Conert. Yeah i'm sure the Pope
is pro-weed. The moral of my outburst is to leave innocent poeple alone. In reality, the Backstreet boys
are not a studio creation, they can really sing, then can really dance, they actually create their own music,
they are not one-hit wonders, they get chicks (all of them), they are not stuck up and their music is
actually good once your mind is open. Find me any rock band any rap group any anything that match or
surpass what the Backstreet boys have accomplished which includes being together for 6 plus years and
in the end you will find them among the greats, like the Beatles, Elvis, Garth Brooks and Boyz2Men.
Unless they are insulting you or stealing your girl, shut up!
