PASSION FLOWERS
Spring Comes
My legs weak
In a moment of sweet
Winter wanting-
Your gift to me
Our bed beneath light rain.
We lie in the mist
Worshipping together:
Love, Lust, and Orchids.
Passion Flowers
We lie beneath the shadows of a rose petal
And whisper languidly under the spring moon,
My arms an easy bed in your rock garden.
From the sea, my vision of you recalls
A hot wind drunk with cool beauty,
A forest flooded by bittersweet light,
A deliriously falling rain or
A lake with a thousand diamond sprays:
Love me then, and do not stop.
Transitions
Free-standing rock coral
With things feeding off me-
I existed in salt and silver light,
Watching the tendrils of my hair
Dance in front of my eyes
With the relaxed grace of lovers
Finished.
I dreamed a forest of emerald-colored glass
Shot through with gold filaments
And flames of red and orange that did not burn.
It was you
Calling.
The rain falling on a lake like diamond sprays
Lit from within by the moon,
A watery garden of roses and whispers;
Smooth touching fingers on hungry skin
Turning a rock garden to dust
Revealing the heart of me to myself
A heart fragile as a pulsing rose petal,
All pink, all pink, all pink and dancing.
